Asst. Prof. Dr. S.M.A. Alim is a distinguished Interventional Pain Medicine Specialist in Dhaka, with extensive national and international training in pain management. His qualifications include MBBS, MD (DMC), EDPM (UK), GOPF (USA), and FIPM (India), along with multiple fellowships in interventional pain therapy and musculoskeletal ultrasound from Germany and India.
Dr. Alim has advanced expertise in managing acute and chronic pain conditions, including low back pain, laser PLID, arthritis, cancer pain, frozen shoulder, neck and knee pain, rheumatic pain, myofascial pain syndrome, and spine-related disorders. He is also skilled in acupuncture (trained in China) and modern minimally invasive pain procedures.
He currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Anaesthesia at Bangladesh Medical University (PG Hospital) and previously worked as the Chief Consultant and Head of Anaesthesia at Central Police Hospital, Dhaka.
