Prof. Dr. ABM Abdullah – Medicine Specialist in Dhaka
Prof. Dr. ABM Abdullah is a highly respected internal medicine specialist in Bangladesh, known for his extensive expertise in managing a wide range of health conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, liver diseases, gastric problems, heart conditions, infectious diseases, and other chronic or complex illnesses.
He completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College and went on to earn prestigious postgraduate qualifications, including MRCP (UK) and FRCP (Edinburgh). He formerly held the position of Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), one of the country’s top medical institutions.
In recognition of his exceptional contributions to medical education, clinical care, and research, Dr. Abdullah has received numerous honors, including the Ekushey Padak, one of the highest civilian awards in Bangladesh. In 2019, he was appointed as the personal physician to the Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Apart from his clinical work, Prof. Dr. ABM Abdullah is also a respected author of several widely used medical textbooks, which are popular among medical students both in Bangladesh and internationally.
